Times I've Taken Fictional Characters' Advice

I've recently finished reading Angelfall by Susan Ee, and there was one good piece of advice the main character, Penryn, gave and it was this:

"Men tend to fight differently with a woman than they do with other men. The overwhelming majority of fights between men and women start with the man attacking from behind, and almost instantly end on the ground with the woman on the bottom. So a good female fighter needs to know how to fight on her back"
- pgs. 48-9 of Angelfall by Susan Ee

This isn't so much advice as it is a pointer, but I'll heed it anyway. I haven't applied it yet, obviously, considering I don't exactly get into physical fights. But it's a good pointer for future reference, if ever needed.
