Comparing Covers: The Mortal Instruments Series

The new (or not) editions of the Mortal Instruments books came out a while ago, sure, so this post is long overdue, but I felt obliged to share my thoughts on this anyway.
Here was my initial reaction to seeing the new covers: WHY?!?! WHYCASSANDRA?!?! WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?! ASDFTKDKMSKDMNSKA…

Open Letters: Mia Rinaldi (The Vampire Academy series)

Dear Mia,

I like you. I didn't like you initially, when you bullied Lissa, but I like you now. Your excuse for bullying her wasn't very reasonable to me though. What happened between you and Andre had nothing to do with Lissa. If I recall correctly, she didn't even know you two were a …

XOXO: A Gossip Girl Post

Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite.
Recently, I just finished watching the CW's Gossip Girl, and it was awesome. I was obsessed, still am. I feel nostalgic just thinking about it. Is that normal? I don't think so. That show left me …

You Were Here by Cori McCarthy

2.5-3 out of 5 stars
*I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Here's the thing. For me, this was one of those books you get so frustrated with because it's well written, but the content of the story and the plot wasn't too great. When I read the synopsis for…

Open Letters: Christian Ozera (The Vampire Academy Series)

Dear Mr. Ozera,
I sent a letter to your significant other, Her Highness and it got cut short by her letter interceptors. Could you maybe, bring this to her attention. I had some important matters to discuss with her. Thank you in advance.

Now I have some things to discuss with you. Things to commen…

Never Trust A Duck: Is There Truth To Will Herondale's Words?

Never trust a duck. Is there truth to Will Herondale's words? I don't know, let's examine the evidence for our hypothesis. I've had my own bad experiences with ducks: When I was in California about a year and a half ago, I went to the San Diego Zoo. While I was there, I thought it …

Hello, 2016: The Most Anticipated Books of 2016

In celebration of the new year of 2016, I've made a list of books that I think are some of the most anticipated books of 2016. Some of these books we've known about and have waited for forever and others were recently announced.

I've added brief descriptions for ones whose synopsis are known (ex: Lady of Midnight) Some of these books I'm excited for just because the author writing the book is wonderful even though the books themselves are untitled (e.g Stephanie Perkins, John Green) and others I'm very excited for because I've known about and waited for these books for quite a while, maybe their a continuation of a series, or a spin-off series. Anyway, here's the list in no particular order:

1. Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) by Cassandra Clare

2. Soldier (Talon #3) by Julie Karagwa

3. The Eye of Andromeda  (Age of X #3) by Richelle Mead

4. The Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor

5. A Torch Against the Night (An Ember in the Ashes #2) by Sabaa Tahir
